Chapter Organization

The executive board exercises active oversight of the financial affairs of the organization and sets policies to ensure that the chapter’s financial resources are used appropriately in furtherance of the chapter’s mission.

The President chairs all Chapter meetings, makes all appropriate committee and task force appointments, sends written communications to new members, and is overall responsible for all aspects of Chapter business activities.

The Vice President, In the absence or at the request of the president, chairs meetings of the executive board or the chapter according to the agenda and policies. Assists the president as necessary. Chairs the standing membership committee and assigns tasks and responsibilities to the members of that committee. The V.P. can with the advice and consent of Board of Review appoint 2-members that make up the membership committee for the term of office. At end of term, chairs the nominating committee and oversees the Chapter officer election process. 

The Executive Secretary is the official recorder of meetings and board decisions and, the keeper of the chapter’s records, except those specifically assigned to the treasurer. 

The Secretary’s records include the chapter’s Bylaws, Charter, board decisions, committee minutes, and chapter minutes. The secretary tracks attendance except when the task is assigned to the membership committee.  The Secretary organizes and schedules all Chapter meetings including, but not limited to reserving the meeting space and scheduling speakers and related events.

 The Treasurer is responsible for the receipt, deposits, disbursement and withdrawal of all Chapter fluids and renders quarterly financial statements to the Chapter officers, The treasurer prepares the chapter budget, receives and deposits dues, reports income and expenses at chapter meetings, prepares a final year-end report.

The records of the Chapter, its files and correspondence are open at all reasonable times to the members and to any public official or representative of NACHI who in the performance of duties is authorized to investigate the affairs of the Chapter.
